Jordan 11's who got a pair today? 12/23/09?
Which one of you lucky peeps were able to buy a pair of the number 11 Jordan's today? I just recently picked up the AJF 4 BLK/RD & AJF 13 WHT/BLK Retro 12's WHT and a pair of the Flight 45's in WHT. Was hoping that I was able to get the Space Jams, but I missed out.
So who was able to get a pair today....
I got me a pair, me and my buddy, man it was ONE HELL OF A NIGHT TOO!
Since no one else here answered I might as well enlighten you with our story.
Okay so we both got outta work (we work together) and were anticipating the shoes all year long, we called around 8 o clock to some stores like Footlocker to see if they were going to have the shoes and how many pairs, well we called a few and they said yes, only 24 pairs for some odd reason and most of the close footlockers to our area already had people in line waiting!!
So we were like "man f that! let's try Champs" We end up going to Champs every time anyways.
We head over to the mall to wait in front like we normally do, we got there around 11 and saw another person already waiting. We made a waiting list and put all 3 of our names down, the times we got there, sizes and signature. Before I go on, I'll explain why we had such a detailed waiting list, when we waited for the 11's / 12's CDP (Countdown Package) the cops showed up and organized us into a list and they went off of that.
So we did all this to be 100% sure we didn't get screwed and everyone got a fair chance based upon the time they got there.
So the gay security guard shows up and says we have to wait across the damn street and off of the mall property! So we were bummed but we complied, little did we know there was a group of about 3 people already there! So we re organized the waiting list and starting writing everyone's names down as they showed up. Well around 6am MORE people showed up and we tried to get them to sign the waiting list but they were being fags and decided they were too cool for that and said they were going to bum rush the mall and jump in line. Well a fight was about to break out, but the cops showed up again and baby sat us for about 5 minutes and then left. So we talked to the security guard and told him about the problem and he said the cops will deal with it, and they were going to organize us they way THEY wanted to. Which was complete BS because we weren't about to have people cut us in line who weren't here as long as we were. So all of the people who were there elected me to go and be the spokesperson to try and get everything straightened out!
About 30 minutes prior to the mall opening me and my friend that I came with went to go bug the security guard again to try and convince him to let me organize everyone and to let us deal with it. Then his boss came up and phoned the head mall manager or whatever and asked him over the walkie talkie's or whatever and asked him if they were to open the front door's to the mall and they said yes.
So before they did, they looked at me and my friend and told us to go in, I looked back way across the street at the anxious crowd of people who wanted me to be the hero and get everything straightened out. And I told the security guard to let me go get the people who were waiting in line since 12am and organize them in the order they came.
He kept telling "Dude, did you not listen to what I just said? GO IN! I'm giving you a big break here!"
and my friend almost slapped me and yelled at me" Come on! What the f--k are you doing!? Let's go!" and with a guilty conscious I said " Naw man... this is wrong, that's a hoe move what I'm doing!"
and he grabbed me and took me in the mall with him and we ran to Champ's just as the manager got there and he took us and we got our shoes, went outside to where everyone was and I guess they bum rushed the store like the late people said they would.
I felt kind of bad because I ditched EVERYONE who was counting on me to sort things out and I will never know if they got their shoes or not lol...
But when we got in the car we looked at the shoes... and oh my god... did my mood change... these things are mad sexy... I still haven't worn them but they were DEFINITELY worth the wait and everything we went through!
